'Gesheng No.1' Deep-sea Aquaculture Platform was Launched
In the first week of November, the launching ceremony of “Gesheng No. 1” deep-sea aquaculture platform was held at the Machong factory area of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. The platform was construction surveyed by China Classification Society (CCS).
“Gesheng No.1” deep-sea aquaculture platform is a trussed semi-submersible aquaculture platform built by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. for Zhuhai Gree Sheng Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Gree Group. It is expected to be put into operation in the second half of 2024, with an annual output over 50 million yuan.
This platform, 86m long, 32m wide, and 16.5m high, with a working draft of 10.5m and an aquaculture water body of over 30,000m3, is characterized by high economic efficiency, large aquaculture water bodies, etc. It is designed and equipped with such systems as green energy power generation, network communication, feed storage and refrigeration, automatic feeding, environmental monitoring, underwater video surveillance, etc. Meanwhile, 18 new gravity cages will be laid out in the surrounding area for demonstration aquaculture of high-value fish species including groupers. We are committed to creating a “1+N” deep-sea aquaculture industry cluster model of “one trussed platform + multiple gravity cages”.
